Cordell Bank
June 2016
Many national marine sanctuaries are far offshore, but onshore exhibits around the country make it possible to get to know these special places without getting wet! Check out our video to learn about the partnership between Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary and the Oakland Museum of California. Will you be visiting one of these exhibits soon? #EarthIsBlue.

Welcome to Cordell Bank National Marine
Sanctuary.
This extremely diverse marine community lies off the West Coast of Northern California.
Strong currents and rapidly changing weather make Cordell Bank a tricky place for recreational diving.
Luckily, you can experience the sanctuary
without even getting your feet wet
by visiting its partner organization at the
Oakland Museum of California.
I'm Jennifer Stock with Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary
and I'm here at the Oakland Museum of California where we have fantastic exhibit about
Cordell Bay National Marine Sanctuary,
one of the four California sanctuaries.
We came together at the museum during a big renovation
to bring new content and new stories about California's amazing landscapes and biodiverse ecosystems.
You don't need to be a diver or hop in a boat
to be able to experience Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary.
