Already thinking ahead to warmer summer days? Take a virtual diving trip to Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary!
Transcript
Hey guys, this is Dave Ruck, I'm the
videographer for the Office of National Marine Sanctuaries and we're finally here in
Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary in Alpena, Michigan. We're gonna
head out on the Boston Whaler and dive
on some wrecks.
So this is a really
exciting opportunity for us to test some new gear.
A lot of these wrecks just haven't been
documented that well, so today's the day
we're going to start a week-long
adventure, really, of getting great
imagery of these sites.
We got some HD video on Montana, on the Thew.
Saw several different shipwrecks from several
different genres. They were doing many
different things to make the Great Lakes
one of the world's busiest waterways.
All in all, a really great day, and now we're heading
back in, so look forward to continuing on
this week, looking at the footage we got
and then getting some more later on.
