Ocean for Life: One World, One Ocean increases cultural understanding through ocean science by providing high quality, immersive ocean field studies and follow-on education programs to encourage students to discover common ground in marine science, conservation and how the ocean connects us all.

2011 Youth Media Projects

	Overall Experience (34.3 MB) Multicultural students poetically share what the overall Ocean for Life experience means to them.
	Cultural Understanding (42.4 MB) Ocean for Life students explore the idea of cultural understanding through their youth media project developed in collaboration with National Geographic Media Camp.
	Sense of Place (39.8 MB) This youth media project artfully depicts the Ocean for Life student's idea of sense of place - sense of place of Santa Barbara, California, the Channel Islands, the Chumash (First Peoples) home and the ocean.
	Interconnectedness (21.1 MB) Ocean for Life students share what they learned about the theme of interconnectedness - the interconnectedness of the global ocean and diverse cultures.
	Ocean Stewardship (39.8 MB) Ocean for Life students communicate about issues facing the ocean and how they will promote ocean conservation and stewardship when they return home.
